Ladies Prosecco Lunch
In the spring we hosted our first Ladies Prosecco Lunch, in aid of Macmillan Cancer research.
Guests enjoyed an afternoon of Michelin-starred dishes, accompanied by a selection of fizz, specially selected by expert wine merchant, Andrew Firth. 

Andrew, of Firth and Co - wine suppliers to the Pipe and Glass - was also the speaker for the afternoon guiding the guests through each tasting with passionate and knowledgeable flair.

The three-course menu created by James Mackenzie included; Lobster and heritage tomato salad, Roast breast of guinea fowl with wild garlic forcemeat, peas, charred gem lettuce, and to finish, Raspberry délice, pistachio and rapeseed oil sponge with aerated white chocolate.

As the sun shone, guests spilled out of the conservatory and onto the patio in the Pipe and Glass garden, to enjoy a demonstration by award-winning florist Miss Elles of Beverley; who created a magnificent, vibrant arrangement, featuring bottles of prosecco (empty, of course!). The display was then kindly auctioned off to support the charity.



Kate Mackenzie said “It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, made even more special by the fact we were able to raise such a fantastic amount for a very worthwhile cause”.
