Due to popular demand the Pipe and Glass is expanding its highly acclaimed accommodation offering by developing four new luxury boutique rooms nestled within the picturesque village of South Dalton, just a short walk from the pub on the redeveloped site of a former Lambing Yard.
Continuing with the quality aesthetic synonymous with the Pipe and Glass, the four rooms at the Old Lambing Yard will feature carefully curated interiors, reflecting the luxurious boutique feel of the five garden rooms that currently surround our garden and herbarium.
The Old Lambing Yard is the most recent addition to the Michelin-starred pub, which, earlier this year, was named in the top ten of the UK’s best gastropubs. The former coaching inn has been tastefully transformed over the years to include an elegant restaurant, a private dining room and landscaped garden and herbarium as well as the traditional bar area.
James Mackenzie, Chef/ Proprietor said “We opened our first rooms in 2009, and the demand has been incredible, so much so that in 2015 we added an additional three. With these proving even more popular still, further expansion has been the natural next step.
“It was so important to us to ensure that we secured the perfect site for these rooms and we’re thrilled to have achieved this in The Old Lambing Yard, meaning that our guests can enjoy a Michelin-starred dining experience with us before retiring to their room just a stone’s throw away from the pub”.
The Old Lambing Yard, expected to open in Summer 2019, will be thoughtfully redesigned to offer our guests increased flexibility for their stay and each room will include its own patio and views of the village and spectacular church.
More information on The Old Lambing Yard rooms will be released shortly.
