Inspiring the next generation
Earlier this year we were delighted to welcome some young visitors from Pocklington School for a morning at the Pipe and Glass.
The youngsters joined James to explore behind the scenes, learning about tasty ingredients, gadgets and cooking methods. 



The children loved discovering how a restaurant kitchen works and kept the team on their toes, asking lots of inquisitive questions during the preparations for lunchtime service, before heading out to explore the Pipe and Glass garden; where they learnt about edible plants and how they can be used in the recipes for their favourite meals. 

The youngsters rounded off their morning by trying their hand at baking with a bread making session. Each child was able to take a handmade loaf away with them, as well as a Pipe and Glass apron, so they can continue their cooking adventures at home.
